The NetWatch Automatic Number Plate Recognition system (ANPR) has been designed and developed by AR&T to seamlessly integrate with our NetWatch CCTV suite of products. The ANPR product can be integrated into a large site wide CCTV system or operate as a stand alone sub system.
A single ANPR server is designed to interface with a near field (750 to 850 nano metre) IR back light camera for number plate reading, a visual spectrum fixed camera overlooking the reading lane and provide three types of digital outputs to control traffic lights, barriers or bollards.
The ANPR server records lane data along with video from both cameras for periods up to 31 days depending upon the client’s policy. The ANPR server contains the number plate, car and driver details against which reading data is compared and conditional responses / outputs are made.
Plate reading capability of better than 92% is acheived when using approved IR camera and installation. Supplied with UK plate recognition algorithm.
Database entry and edit forms are provided along with search and review capability. Site history review, detailing vehicle movement against time and date are also provided. Selecting a current or historical record brings up the video from both cameras, synchronised by time and date, for an in depth analysis of the vehicle and its occupants. Reports of vehicle movement and current site occupancy are provided.
Output responses of ‘Known’, ‘UnKnown’ and ‘BadRead’ are currently supported. Each response will result in a digital output activation, as well as a coloured text message being presented to the operator by overlaying this on either the ANPR view or the fixed camera lane view. If required an audio prompt can be configured for any or all output responses.
